NU PANTS
No need for an umbrella anymore.
You've probably experienced the annoyance of having to carry an umbrella on rainy mornings. Umbrellas occupy your hands and are often forgotten once the rain stops. Additionally, traditional umbrellas made from various materials are difficult to recycle, posing a significant environmental burden.
While wearing rain gear would be a practical solution, finding rainwear that seamlessly fits into your everyday attire can be surprisingly challenging. That's where the "NU PANTS" come in. In fact, NU means "NO UMBRELLA".
Crafted from lightweight recycled nylon fabric that's breathable, you can wear the NU PANTS even when it's not raining. We've adopted the silhouette of our most popular long pants, the "UNDERCURRENT PANTS," known for their versatility at HERENESS. With drawcords at the hem, you can cinch them to prevent rain from entering and ride your bike without worrying about the chain.
Combine the NU PANTS with the matching "NU JACKET," and you'll have full-body waterproof protection from head to toe – a true NO UMBRELLA solution.
The fabric of the "NU PANTS" is a balanced 2.5-layer construction, featuring recycled nylon with a fluorine-free water-repellent treatment on the outer layer, a breathable membrane, and a backer film. With a waterproof rating of 20,000mm and breathability of 20,000g (B-1 method), it exceeds the standards for outdoor rainwear.

PFC Free
In the past, the backbone of rainwear has been fluorine processing technology. However, in recent years, it has become evident that the substances used in this technology accumulate in the environment, posing risks to human health as "forever chemicals." As a result, regulations worldwide have progressed from traditional "C8" water repellent technology, which utilizes perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), to "C6" water repellent technology that specifically avoids harmful substances like PFOA. Furthermore, beyond this, there's fluorine-free water repellency, known as "PFC-free," achieved without the use of perfluorinated compounds (PFCs) themselves.
At HERENESS, based on these facts, we have decided to adopt PFC-free technology for all our rainwear, aligning with these advancements in environmental responsibility.
